We're hiring for a successful logistics startup that's building the future of freight - they've built a marketplace where businesses can connect with truckers for same day freight deliveries. Right now, we're hiring a Staff Software Engineer for their frontend engineering team in architecture, design, and development as they scale the marketplace platform nationwide.

Tech stack is React, TypeScript, GraphQL

• Collaborate with senior leadership, product managers, and engineering pods across the company
• Architect business-critical projects and core systems to meet product needs
• Implement first-of-their-kind, industry-disrupting features that push the boundaries of what the shipper experience can be by working on our customer dashboard and our sophisticated internal freight management system
• Investigate and implement new tools and techniques that support our fast-paced development
• Build for scalability and automation as we rapidly expand our network of carriers and partners
• Mentor other engineers while setting technical standards, coding guidelines, and best practices for the Engineering organization
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience in leading engineers within a well-established organization or at a high-growth company
• Technical capacity to partner cross-functionally while working hands-on in all areas of the product stack (frontend, backend, data)
• Recent experience with modern programming languages (such as Javascript/Typescript, Python, Java) and strong core computer science principles
• Expert-level experience designing and building scalable APIs and microservices to support mobile and web clients with real-time data availability
• A strong product sense and affinity to the user experience
• Testing evangelist with extensive experience in multiple testing frameworks
• Experience contributing to open-source projects or eagerness and ability to do so
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to both professionals and non-specialists
• Experience in finance or fintech consumer products is a plus
• Experience building and/or working with event-driven architecture is a plus
• Proficiency with SQL preferred
